Everything works as expected, tuner, cd, aux input and usb port kind of. This is where the 4/5 star review comes in.
I have had no major issues what so ever with this product. The issue I do have is the versatility of the usb support. It only allows (and this is coming from the manual I have with me) 128 folders (albums) to be displayed at one time, but each folder can have up to 500 files (tracks) in them.
What does this mean? Well I have a 16GB USB memory stick with a few dozen artist folders, each with their own album folders. This makes 148 folders to browse (according to my panasonic car deck in my other car). This particular Sony deck will REFUSE to read anything past 128 browsable folders!
Once I get to a certain album it says "no tracks" when there clearly are tracks in that album, AND it will not even recognize any more artists/albums/tracks what so ever! I've taken the stick out and spent a few hours going back and forth from computer to car seeing what the problem was. It was not the files themselves, or the USB device acting up. How do I know? I took off some of the artists I knew were already readable, and kept the ones it would not read previously (making the total folder count less then or equal to 128), and voila, readable files!
I realize this is not an actual problem with the stereo, but rather something Sony decided was a good idea for some weird reason, so in all fairness it is performing as it should I suppose. I just hate this "feature." Like I mentioned I have 2 cars and 2 separate decks, and 2 separate USB memory sticks to try to make sure it's not a real problem. Nothing on my end is wrong, the Sony deck simply will not read data after a count of 128 browsable folders.

I haven't been very impressed with many of Sony's products over the last few years, but decided to give them a shot with this head unit. After installing it and getting familiar with the controls, I must admit I'm impressed. For the amount paid, this is a very nice full featured stereo. The sound quality is very good, the controls are straight-forward for the most part, and it does everything the higher priced units do. The iPod controls work well and the added aux. cable included is a nice touch. I haven't fully explored all the features it has to offer, but am pleased with what I have found. Overall a nice offering from Sony. Not what you want to install in a competition sound system, but for the average install, a great bang for the buck!

Overall this is a really nice unit at a great price. Sony is pretty reliable that way.
Pros:
Good power (made my car sound better immediately)
Ipod USB connection (powers/charges as well as good sound!)
Many many many Radio presets.
Front 3.5mm audio jack to connect my Sansa.
Cons:
Lousiest AM reception I have ever heard. Every station, EVERY station, sounds like it is 100 miles away and disappears altogether - frequently. (Yes, Sony, some of us still listen to AM). My factory radio was 10x better.
IPod navigation is taken over by the Sony and does NOT let you use the IPod controls.
IPod didn't figure out chapters for my audible audio book. And when I unplugged the IPod it lost my place. The problem was getting back to the place was a matter of fast forwarding (not skipping) for a long time. And this was made even harder in that it does not show the "hundreds" digit on the time. Therefore you have to guess how many hundreds of mintues! Argg.
I would recommend the unit. Though I would warn them about the cons.
